Global WAN Tx Shaper

The WAN Shaper limits all WAN Outbound traffic to a specified limit that should match the speed of the Wan link.

Global Wan Tx Rate

Also called Max WAN Tx rate in WCM. The limit should be equal to the WAN upstream speed. This setting is required to ensure optimal Packet Loss Recovery operation. The administrator can refer to Software Options chart for more information.

Sample Demonstration:

  • Global WAN Tx rate was set to 1000 (in kbps) in Configure > System Settings > Optimization Settings.
  • Ran a Filezilla filecopy of an executable file.
