Wan Optimization is designed to work with two or more appliances. Using only a single appliance will disable most of the Wan Optimization features like compression, deduplication and packet loss recovery.
Features available in a Single-Appliance setup:
- Web Caching (if deployed and configured).
- Upstream Quality of Service (Shaping, Priority etc.)
- Interface Statistics and Graphs
- Netflow Traffic Statistics (e.g top protocols)
- Netflow Exports to an external collector
