« on: August 02, 2015, 05:13:41 PM »
Hello
I have Steelhead 550(No licenses).
This hardware cannot boot from Sata hdd.
I use Bootable USB of the Wanos.
(to 16GB Flashmemory)
but bypass NIC does not working.
Please e1000bp.ko for 3.8.13-Tiny.
Thanks.

e1000bp.ko driver for SteelHead 550
« Reply #1 on: August 02, 2015, 05:57:09 PM »
Hi, is the e1000bp bypass driver from the wanos-2.0.5-silicom.zip image detecting the interfaces in the Riverbed Steelhead 550?

Hi Ahenning
I checked Original e1000bp thread.
but, I cannot try the wanos-2.0.5-silicom image,
because, Riverbed Steelhead 550 cannot boot from SATA HDD or SSD.(SATA HDD/SSD was detected)
I use Bootable USB image of the wanos write to USB flash 16GB.
and copy e1000bp.ko(direct link) , edit bootsync.sh.
but  "bypass nic" not working,

tc@wanos:/$ sudo insmod /mnt/sda1/tce/packages/click/e1000bp.ko

tc@wanos:/$ modinfo /mnt/sda1/tce/packages/click/e1000bp.ko

Yes, as noted that driver is for the older kernel. The driver source is not compatible with the newer kernels.

I would recommend using a larger usb or external drive for now.

Ok then, once the system boots it is possible to mount the datastore on the internal drives.
