Forward Error Correction

Forward Error Correction can be implemented but has not been requested frequently, hence this is not yet top priority. Please add commentary if this feature is required.

FEC would be useful.  In regional Australia links are often lossy and we have seen up to four fold performance increases where FEC is employed.  Seems to work well on IP VPNs as well.

Agree, packetloss is poison for Wan Optimization. Hence Beyers is actually in the process of implementing something similar that we are calling Reliable Delivery Protocol. It is designed to provide some of the same benefits as FEC.
