Certain HTTP sites broken
« on: November 01, 2014, 05:30:39 PM »
Not sure if this is a bug in my network setup, or in WANOS, but with 1.4.1 (and 1.3.4), there seems to be a problem with certain sites not working properly.
The lead identified sites are www.alibaba.com and www.aliexpress.com.
When trying to access them, all I get is a blank page with a 200 and a 304 http response.
DNS resolution seems to work okay.
The test machines moved to the 'non-wanos filtered' side can access those sites okay.
One one side of the network, WANOS is installed on a physical device,  and the other site everything is within a VMWare ESXi environment divided into segments.
It feels like WANOS is mangling the traffic, but I don't know where to start identifying and debugging this, other than it works  if WANOS isn't in the way of the traffic.
I've not managed to identify any other sites with this problem.

Tested the sites fine on 1.4.1, so its probably a combination of things.

This could be if there is some asymmetrical routing and traffic is not flowing through both devices in both directions.
Also try clearing the datastore.
Are both ends configured in 'High'?
Anything in the debug log?
Any settings that are not on default, besides ip address and gateway?
Any VPN's or firewalls between the two devices?
How is the ESXi config looking... separate vSwitches or portgroups with vlans. Promiscuous enabled on the vSwitch or portgroups.
How is the packetloss rate on the link between the wanos devices?
Other than these two websites, optimization is working though?
CCIE RS, CCIE SP, Mnet&sys
