Large object caching would be useful.  Apple and Windows updates can soak up a lot of bandwith.

Hi Antonie,

A little off topic perhaps, but I think all settings should be able to be set in the gui if possible.  It minimises the administrative overhead.  Ideally there should be a single console to administer all appliances in the clients enterprise.

Having a gui demonstrates product maturity.

Troubleshooting / SSH issue
« on: March 19, 2015, 03:41:05 AM »
I have SSH enabled in the gui but am unable to connect with putty.  I get to enter the user and pass but then I get the server unexpectedly closed the network connection.  Tested with WinSCP and same issue. Version 2.0.3.  Any suggestions?  Putty output below.  Address removed.

Hi Antonie,

This appliance is on 2.0.3 and yes I can arrange to give you access if you want to have a look at this.  IM me on Skype and we can discuss this.

Why does the peer status appear like this when the debug log says peer up?

Thanks Antonie,

This is great news.  We have been testing but RC 2.0.1 has been so stable that we don't have any bugs to report.  I will look forward to the guide so we can do some further testing.

Hi Antonie,

Are there any new features added to this version?  You have indicated some elements have been recoded. What are the improvements if any?

FEC would be useful.  In regional Australia links are often lossy and we have seen up to four fold performance increases where FEC is employed.  Seems to work well on IP VPNs as well.
