Hi,

I already tried to change the ip address using wanos-cfg command, but no luck. I also tried to re-image the hard disk and try to use another PC to test but yet still the same. What should i do?

Configuration / NIC hardware problem, bypass traffic
« on: December 22, 2014, 02:04:43 AM »
I have a two sites, using default configuration. The Optimization works well.

but if somehow, the one of the NIC card on one PC would defect by hardware problem, is there any way the link from router to distributed switch will still running? or will it be needed another cable from router to distributed switch? or i should put another switch between router and wanos?

dear ahenning,

thank you very much for your reply. My sites are in two different locations and both connected using mikrotik pptp VPN.

i'm attach how i'm setup wanos in both of my sites, please check if it's already correct.

General Discussion / Checking reduction rate and reporting tools
« on: November 24, 2014, 10:04:02 AM »
I already installed wanos in 2 PCs and already place it on two of my linking sites. one sites using 192.168.6.XXX ip range dan the other one using 192.168.7.XXX ip range.

I was read on tutorial that point-to-point sites doesn't need much configuration, so i just change the PC ip based on the sites ip range (one wanos with 192.168.6.41 and the other wanos using 192.168.7.41) and leave other with default settings.

Now I'm curious, how am i know now that reduction and caching function is already working? because it's doesn't make much difference when I try to copy data between sites or just querying SQL from one sites to another.

or did i miss some setting or some other things?

and where can i found reporting function to collect reports? e.g. traffic per users, users with most bandwidth, apps with most bandiwidth, and so on.

thanks before for the reply

General Discussion / command to restart & shutdown Wanos
« on: November 07, 2014, 03:37:57 AM »
Hello guys, I'm new to wanos forum. I have a simple question about wanos. what command do we use to restart and shutdown wanos?

I tried linux command but it says "no permission". Do we have to access the superuser?

thanks for reply
