Hi

Just wondering to eliminate number of dependencies
is this possible to WAN OS act as a VPN also
Like :
LAN-----WANOS (Core)(Tunnel)------(Tunnel)Edge--LAN

Hi Ram,

A UDP tunnel feature was developed to assist with firewalls that either don't handle IPComp traffic or did some version of NAT/PAT. This feature is available in 1.2.2. The UDP tunnel would be a good feature to test and see if it works for what you have in mind. If not exactly what you need, let me know so that it can be expanded.

Hi

that interesting, i want to minimise the boxes, since like other boxes in the market
example, bluecoat packet shaper, does tunnelling with boxes along with compression.

just want to set all in one box to minimise the monitoring.

The UDP Encap is enabled by setting the Encapsulation to UDP under optimization settings. Both sides needs to match.

If anyone is interested the ability can be extended to also build tunnels between Wanos appliances.
