Hi there,
Thanks for submitting the question. Unfortunately due to the way the devices work, two devices across a link are required, one on each side.

Hi there,
thanks for you reply. Upon installing in this setup we had experience an increase in the speed of browsing. the response got a little faster from the previous - same layout without WANOS after the pfsense firewall/ router.
If we will use this to our PPTP VPN server putting on both ends and connecting using RDP would this will help us to increase the speed
remote pc --> vpn --> wanos ----> internet <---- wanos --> vpn --> rdp server

In this scenario, not quite, for a number of reasons:
- The VPN will encapsulate the traffic in a PPTP header, which Wanos will see at IP traffic that is not TCP or UDP
- The VPN may add encryption
- RDP may add encryption
The following scenario would be better:
pc -> wanos -> vpn -> internet -> vpn -> wanos -> server
In this case if RDP encryption is disabled, an attempt can be made to dedup and compress the traffic. pfSense may need to be configured to not drop IP Protocol 108.
