Ok I see and I have a other question when you have the PC2 with a other network than the PC1,
can we go on the web interface with the same than address ? Or you just can connect on the interface with the address of Wanos2 ?

In a routed network you should be able to access the Wanos web interface from any IP address on the network.

Usually in your intended test, Wanos-2 would be in the same network and have the same gateway as PC-2.

Hi,

I send you my network,

I want to know what I must config on Wanos 1 and Wanos 2 "or change" for my network.
It's a network of a firm who work with Artecal. So the network is working properly, I just want to put on it the 2 Wanos and after if it's work test it with Wanos Plus :)

I try to test it on Hyper-V with a router but don't really work can't ping Wanos to the router.

The network is already working, so it is simple, nothing really needs to be configured. Just plug wanos in the way its in the diagram. It looks like a point to point link, so it should just work.

But since its for a client and in production it is highly recommended to configure the site subnets and a default bypass rule #99.

So you configure:
wanos-1 with 192.168.0.3 gateway 192.168.0.1
wanos-2 with 192.168.1.3 gateway 192.168.1.1

Recommended additional settings:
wanos-1 policy rules
#10 src 192.168.0.0/24 dst 192.168.1.0/24
#99 any any bypass

wanos-2 policy rules
#10 src 192.168.1.0/24 dst 192.168.0.0/24
#99 any any bypass

P.s I'll move this last question since its not related to hyper-v

Hi,

Your wanos configuration is working well, thanks.
I send a file between the two PC but multiple new transfert doesn't benefite the wanos optimization.
Normaly, if I send multiple time the same file, the transfert time should be instantly.

Are my diagnostics log normal ?

yes,

Are the peers up?

yes

I send you my traffic Policie for PC1 and 2
The peer status are down.
: Re: Peer down
: ahenning March 18, 2015, 09:57:09 AM
1) Please use v.2.0.4
2) Policies looks ok
3) Peers will be up when traffic flows
4) If there is a cisco ipsec vpn between the sites, enable udp encapsulation on both ends.
: Re: Peer down
: Artecal March 18, 2015, 01:39:35 PM
Hi I use yet wanos 2.0.4
But peers is not up when traffic flows
And I use no cisco vpn between the sites.

I send you a screen of my connected peers and my multiSite
I try to share a file to PC1 to the PC2, it's work but multiple new transfert doesn't benefite the wanos optimization.
: Re: Peer down

Ok, you need to figure out why the peers are down.

Traffic needs to flow through both units in both directions. If either wanos is down, does traffic between pcs stop. Check the interface graphs whether traffic usage match on both ends.
lan0 and wan0 needs to be cabled correctly (Most often the problem with peers not coming online).
Check the logs, check the macs, swap the port roles.
Lastly set the encap udp on both ends.

Note: spinning this off into a "peer down thread"

Well, when I put down Wanos2 or 1 the traffic stop, it's normal.
I encrease all the cpu devices to 4, and have yet more than 4mo/s, and all health status are ok :)
I try to check why my peer is down in the diagnostic log.
Send you a diagram of my network.(screen)*

I encrease all the cpu devices to 4
CPU's are not going to help the peer detection :)

The logs are fine. No peer detected on lan0, but we can't be sure.

Check the cabling to be sure that lan0 is on the pc side and wan0 on the router side. Both sides.
Check the interface graphs whether traffic usage match on both ends.
lan0 and wan0 needs to be cabled correctly (Most often the problem with peers not coming online).
Check the macs, swap the port roles.
Lastly set the encap udp on both ends.

Lan traffics is normal no ?
I'm sure that the cabling are ok because I do it with my tutor and a other computer scientist.
And I just use a router without vpn, so don't know why I must set the encap udp on both ends.
In the Optimization Settings I need to put the Optimization Level in Low or High ?

I try without a router, in the same network:
PC1 - WANOS1 - WANOS2 - PC2
192.168.1.10 - 192.168.1.200 - 192.168.1.201 - 192.168.1.20
I create a "network shar" for share file and all work but not the multiple file optimization
The peer are down  >:(

*edit*
peer are up I just change the interface stats on the interface web
: Re: Peer down
: ahenning March 19, 2015, 09:59:37 AM
PC1 - lan0-wanos-wan0 <-> wan0-wanos-lan0 - PC2

peer are up I just change the interface stats on the interface web
;)
: Re: Peer down
: Artecal March 19, 2015, 02:01:28 PM
Well, with the devices in the same network all is OK
Yet I try the network with my router, and the optimization is not work ><
Have change my interface stat, my network traffic Policies and my muti site :(
Really don't know why my peer don't go up  >:(
It's a ZyXEL router (ZyWALL USG100)
I maybe forget something ...

I sent an email.

Don't receive your mail
: Re: Peer down
: ahenning March 19, 2015, 03:19:17 PM
I think your ZyWALL is stripping TCP Options. Try UDP encapsulation on both ends.
: Re: Peer down
: Artecal March 19, 2015, 04:30:02 PM
Well, I add udp encapsulation, can you check if it's ok ? (on the screen)
And try to resend your mail don't know why I didn't receive it.

I send you a other email, I wait you  ;)
