: NIC hardware problem, bypass traffic

I have a two sites, using default configuration. The Optimization works well.

but if somehow, the one of the NIC card on one PC would defect by hardware problem, is there any way the link from router to distributed switch will still running? or will it be needed another cable from router to distributed switch? or i should put another switch between router and wanos?

If I understand correctly, you would like to fail-over to another link if the NIC in the Wanos appliance fails. Yes, this is possible.

If the switch supports pvlan stp then one switch is required. If not, then two.

One switch diagram:

With two switches, wanos would be between the two switches and a second link between the two switches would be the backup link.

I listed some bypass options on this page: UPDATED: High Availability (http://"http://wanos.co/docs/docs/wanos-admin-guide/deployment/high-availability/")

Please let me know if I misunderstood the question.

Also keep in mind that Wanos will work with any standard bypass NIC that is triggered by `n power failure.

Hi Ahenning, sorry for the late reply. I barely forgot to check your reply.

I will try it this month and see if it's working. Will update to you soon.

thanks!

No problem, thanks,

We should be able to engineer failover in. Which method we use just depends on the existing hardware
