: [4.0.3] Datastore on KVM /dev/vda3 not showing in panel
: q8reflexJuly 05, 2017, 01:20:34 PM
Installed Wanos on KVM with 60GB SSD disk, after doing the mkfs command and formatting, the /dev/vda3 still wont show on the System Settings panel.
Any idea why?

Yes, vdX drives enabled in v.4.1. Previously only drives starting with sd and xvd were considered automatically and vd required command line linking.
v.4.1 links coming online later.

Ok, upgraded to v4.1 successfully (Minus the license issue for now) and can see /dev/vda4 created with the rest of free unallocated space but yet can't see the disk in control panel. is it because license was not applied?

Do you mean vda4 is not in the dropdown under settings -> datastore?

Greetings q8reflex,
I think you may have configured the disk to use VIRTIO drivers but I could be wrong. Can you confirm if this is the case?
Thanks!

Yeah i remember it was Virtio driver from control panel but we can't reach the hosted instance anymore after enabling Tunnel mode as per this post here:

/tce/etc/wanos/wanos-fdisk list
Lists the mounted drives

i tried both in /etc/wanos and /tce/etc/wanos and both show nothing. the DF command shows all the mounted drives and filesystems though. Attached an image showing it.

Lew confirmed VIRTIO drives are listed in v.4.1.2. I think that was just for you ;)

I'm glad our humble struggle to get this going has advanced this project a little bit ;D. Gonna update and see how it goes, thanks.
